THE GAUDÍ EXHIBITION CENTER (DIOCESAN MUSEUM)

Description
The Diocesan Museum is located in Plaça de la Catedral in Casa de la Pia Almoina. It was inaugurated in 1916 as the Barcelona Diocesan Archaeological Museum establishing itself in the downstairs room of the Council Seminary whose first director was Manuel Trens.
Today the museum houses Walking with Gaudí, an extraordinary exhibition concerning the work and personality of Antoni Gaudí. A unique collection of the great architect’s works, objects and documents.
Thethe represent almost a century of international research into Gaudí, the man, his work and his revolutionary way of working. The Gaudí Exhibition Center has a series of technological installations that stimulate the mind with exciting sensations. Technology supplied by the technological partner Samsung gives visitors
an innovative, virtual reality experience using augmented reality and interactive content that add another dimension to the visit.
